Ten Hag names the top three goalkeepers to take De Gea’s job

Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has chosen three goalkeepers as his first-choice replacement for David de Gea in the upcoming campaign.

De Gea’s future at the club has reportedly been labeled as “in the balance” by Sky Sports.

De Gea’s current deal expires at the end of June, and he has not yet settled on new terms to stay at Old Trafford.

According to what is known, “discussions remain open” while the club and De Gea weigh their alternatives.

Regardless of whether De Gea stays with the team or not, United are still considering alternative keepers, such as Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, Porto’s Diogo Costa, and David Raya of Brentford.

Ten Hag publicly supported De Gea on a number of occasions during the last campaign, but the Dutchman made no guarantees that the goalkeeper would hold the top spot if he stayed.
