The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has urged Nigerians to absorb the values of sacrifice and forgiveness while praying for the harmony and development of the nation in honor of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.

In a message sent today to honor the festivities, Vice President Shettima made the request.

The Vice President had previously attended the Eid prayers at the National Eid Ground in Abuja among other pious people such as Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

In his own words, “This auspicious day is an opportunity to consider Allah’s benevolence as revealed via the kind favors bestowed upon Prophet Abraham and his son, Prophet Isma’il.

“These eternal truths serve as a beacon of light for humanity throughout time, reminding us of the insurmountable obstacles our Creator places in our way to salvation. We find the moral inspiration to be the finest versions of ourselves by accepting these teachings.

“May Allah accept our supplications and offerings and pardon our errors. May Allah heal us from whatever ails us both personally and as a nation, and may this day usher in enduring harmony and development for our dear homeland. Ameen. Greetings on Eid ul-Adha.
