Speaker Abbas and his deputy wish Muslims a happy Eid al-Adha

Tajuddeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Benjamin Kalu, his deputy, have expressed their congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Adha.

The second of Islam’s two major holidays, Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is also its largest celebration.

It honors Abraham’s readiness to offer up one of his sons, Ishmael or Isaac, in accordance with God’s mandate.

His Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, said this in a statement.

According to the release, the speaker advised the audience to embrace the occasion in particular to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He urged all citizens to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s allegiance to the Almighty Allah by making sacrifices for the development and expansion of Nigeria, while also calling for spiritual and moral support for all elected and appointed authorities nationwide.

“I congratulate Muslims, and Nigerians by extension, as we witness yet another Sallah celebration, especially after the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections and the inauguration of a new President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the 10th National Assembly,” the statement read.

Benjamin Kalu, the deputy speaker of the house of representatives, also congratulated Nigerian Muslims and urged them and other Nigerians to show more love and patriotism. He emphasized the need for Nigerians to do this while also praying fervently.

He encouraged to Nigerians to carry out good deeds and humanitarian services by helping the less fortunate members of society. He also urged them to be patriotic and peace-loving while praying for the calm and prosperity of Nigeria.
