Another member of the Nigerian Army who was working with terrorists has been caught.
The soldier has been named Iorliam Emmanuel. He is said to be in his 30s and from the state of Benue.
In Mainok town, Emmanuel is part of the 156 Task Force Battalion (Operation Hadin Kai).
Mainok is the capital of Kaga Local Government Area in Borno State. It is 60 km from Maiduguri, which is the state capital.
Emmanuel was found with weapons hidden in a bag and tied around his waist.
In a popular video, the suspect’s coworkers show the bullets he hid inside and under his uniform.
He is likely to go to court martial because he gave military supplies to terror groups without permission.
A soldier was caught helping Boko Haram/Islamic State’s West Africa Province months before the arrest (ISWAP).
The Army said that Lance Corporal Jibrin, who was an instructor, killed himself on the way to the barracks.
In April, Jibrin’s role in the killings at some places to relax in Yobe State was found out by intelligence.
About 10 people died in the attacks in Geidam and Gashua towns, which happened within five days of each other.
