Officials in charge of the nation’s capital have been urged by Minister Nyesom Wike to maintain consistent cooperation with the FCT Administration on tax payments.
While visiting the FCT Administration on Wednesday, the Minister made the statement as part of a team from the Nadeem Group. The visit was led by Mr. George Tolofari, who is the Special Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer.

Since the government cannot create roads and public facilities without the timely payment of taxes, Wike emphasized the importance of enterprises in the FCT making sure to pay their taxes on time.

For Wike, the most important thing is that people pay their taxes, because that’s how the government operates.

“The Federation Account does not go to Abuja like it does to other states. Taxes are our sole source of revenue.

Along with assuring investors that the FCT was a safe place to put their money, he said that the FCT Administration had made security and the creation of jobs two of its top goals, in keeping with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
