Antony and Mohammad Kudus both played for Ajax before the Brazilian left the Dutch team last summer to join Manchester United.
Basten thinks that Kudus, who is a versatile winger, is smarter than the winger for the Red Devils, who he says is skilled but always makes bad decisions.
TalkSPORT said that Van Basten said, “I think Mohammed Kudus is a much better football player than Antony.”
“Antony is smart, but he doesn’t know how to do what he wants to do! Kudus’s skill is much better, and he knows what he’s doing.
“Antony might be faster, but Kudus is smarter and more technical. He is a much better football player, and you can put him anywhere on the field. He is a good all-around player for the team.
“I actually like him a lot more than Antony. His games are more fun to watch.”
Arsenal and a number of other top teams in Europe are currently trying to sign the Ghanaian player.
