On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu expressed faith that God will assist him in repairing Nigeria.
In Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Tinubu paid a thank-you visit to Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland, and revealed this.
He returned to express his gratitude because, according to him, Ogun State voters supported him at a critical juncture.
“Very few individuals serve your frankness,” said Tinubu, “and I come to say thank you. I got right to work on the first day. God will make Nigeria whole. I want to thank each and every chief present.
“I appreciate how you treated me, and I hope you live long enough to witness a thriving Nigerian.
“To all the obas and traditional leaders here, thank you for standing by me and the nation; you showed loyalty by supporting me at a critical juncture.”
The Awujale also spoke, pleading with Nigerians to be patient because Tinubu will lead them to the promised land.
He begged for God to grant Tinubu health so he could keep his word.
“Tinubu is on his way, and he will lead us to the promised land. You’ll transport us there safely.
“Your adversaries are now your allies, and you will always lead. We’re all delighted that you’re in office, he continued.
