While playing for Côte d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the central defender hurt his ankle.
The Greek defender for PAOK Salonica revealed to Eagle7fm, “I have had my first session on grass with the ball and I am just a matter of days to rejoining the group.”
“At first, I thought I would be out for three or four months following surgery, but here we are, barely seven weeks later.”
This means the 30-year-old may be able to make a comeback in time to aid PAOK in their pursuit of the Greek League championship.
In terms of table points, AEK Athens are ahead of PAOK by two.
