In defending Mount, Rio Ferdinand places Evans ahead of Maguire

Mason Mount, an English midfielder, struggled in his first two games for Manchester United against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United veteran Rio Ferdinand has supported Mount.

A contract with Manchester United would put Jonny Evans ahead of Harry Maguire in the club’s pecking order for center backs, according to Ferdinand.

Remember that last Saturday, Tottenham defeated Man United 2-0, and that Mount had a challenging game.

Ferdinand, who believes the former Chelsea player’s assimilation has been hampered by the team’s early-season troubles, is hesitant to pass judgment on the former Chelsea player.

Ferdinand stated on the most recent episode of his Vibe with FIVE YouTube show, “If Jonny Evans signs, he [Maguire] is behind Jonny Evans, I reckon.”

Ferdinand continued, “You can’t judge a man after two games, you can’t. Because there would have been players who would not have become legends if they had been judged after two games and told to get out.”
