Following Edith Agoye’s dismissal earlier in the season, Boboye assumed leadership of the squad.
Another team that has struggled under his guidance is the Owena Waves, who are fighting for survival in the league.
Speaking to the media, he said that his time as coach of the Sunshine Stars had not been pleasant.
Our performance has suffered since I was unable to implement my vision for the team.
I have my own playing style, and the players on the squad are a good fit for it. The other players I’ve met aren’t terrible, either.
Until the season is over, we will not stop trying.
“We will be adding a large number of players to the roster in preparation for the upcoming season.”
