While briefing reporters in Sokoto, the Coordinating Comptroller, Mr. Kolapo Oladeji, revealed this information and said that food truck interception occurred at the Kajji community on the Sokoto-Kebbi route as well.

The food-laden trucks that were intercepted were allegedly crossing into the Niger Republic illegally through the Kebbi border, according to him.

Given the current state of affairs, we will use all possible means to prevent food smuggling out of the nation.

Everyone is aware that some Nigerians’ actions have caused food prices to soar.

“Border closures imposed by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) do not stop our people from taking food to other countries; they are hungry,” he added.

According to Oladeji, the NCS agents also confiscated sixty jerry cans of petroleum products that were being exported from the nation.

Members of the public were urged by the team leader to come forward with insightful data that would help authorities halt actions that endanger the public’s health and the economy.
