According to Tom Collomosse of the Daily Mail, Manchester United will regret not signing Victor Osimhen.
One among the teams connected with a deal for the Nigerian international was Manchester United.
But Rasmus Hojlund, an Atalanta hitman, has been acquired by the Premier League’s powerhouses.
Hojlund’s contract might increase to £72 million.
Monday’s 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers was a struggle for United, and Collomosse predicted that they would later regret passing up the opportunity to sign Osimhen.
“If they (United) have not fixed this problem when Hojlund returns, the pressure will be considerably greater,” Collomosse said. “They (United) were lifeless in front of goal against Gary O’Neil’s men.
“Kane or Osimhen would have been ideal. Osimhen is an all-around No. 9, and he has the personality to lead Napoli to their third Serie A championship in the team’s history. They’ll kick themselves for not relocating for him.
Osimhen scored 28 goals in 32 league games for Napoli last season, which helped the team win the Scudetto.
