Join forces with the government to advance security and peace, Makinde advises traditional leaders

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has made a plea to the state’s traditional leaders to assist his administration’s efforts to advance the state’s overall development, security, and peace.

Makinde declared as much On Wednesday, at Oba Sakiru Oyewole Adekola-Oyelere’s coronation and presentation of the office staff to Onifiditi of Fiditi.

Fiditi Grammar School in Fiditi, Oyo State, served as the venue for the event.

Deputy Chief of Staff Fola Oyekunle, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters Ademola Ojo, and Speaker of the State House of Assembly Adebo Ogundoyin, represented by Akintunde Emmanuel, the chairman of the House Committee on Chieftaincy Matters, were among the dignitaries in attendance.

Makinde begged the traditional ruler to collaborate closely with the government to solve urgent concerns in his area. Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal represented Makinde in this request.

For the good of the people and the state, he pleaded with the traditional monarch to turn the inherent potential in his territory into successful economic endeavors.

“I am happy that the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure our Kabiyesi’s peaceful reign,” he declared. The Oyo State administration is looking for your cooperation in tackling urgent problems including security, healthcare, education, and community development. It is anticipated that you will collaborate closely with us to address these issues.

To advance security and general development, the established institution and the government authority must work together. To the inhabitants of Fiditi, we must inform you that progress is impossible in a place without security. Furthermore, security is a matter that concerns all men.

The progress that our Kabiyesi desire for our area must be brought about by action rather than words. To make sure there is security, we must cooperate with the palace and the administration. Because this property is endowed with fruit, we are aware that it is a commercial land.
