On Thursday, the Jigawa State House of Assembly vetted and accepted the appointment of 14 of the 16 commissioner-nominees the governor of the state, Umar Namadi, had forwarded.
During the committee of the whole, Rt Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, the Speaker of the House, made this declaration.
According to 460play, the governor nominated 16 commissioners and sent their names to the State House of Assembly for review.
14 nominees were satisfactorily vetted by the House, and their appointments to the state executive council were approved.
Hadiza Abdulwab and Sagir Musa, the other two nominees, weren’t screened, nevertheless.
After their return from performing a smaller hajj in Saudi Arabia, they were asked to appear before the State House of Assembly for a screening.
The House then put off the end of its current session to July 18, 2023.
