Adedamola Adefolahan, better known by his stage name Fireboy DML, is a musician from Nigeria. He recently recalls leaving an audition in tears since no one paid attention to him.

The “Peru” singer revealed that the event occurred while he was a struggling musician.

Fireboy DML acknowledged the difficulties encountered by all emerging artists in an interview with Billboard News.

A lot of things happen to every young musician, he remarked.

I once went to a performance and no one paid attention to me in the slightest. It was all dancing.

“The disc jockey was only performing his act. Returning to the vehicle with my companion in tears, I experienced a sense of being unnoticed.

That would be the last time, I vowed to myself. I won’t ask for anything unless I truly believe I’m deserving of it.
