Months after retiring, the former senior foreign affairs officer passed away on Saturday in Kano.
At the embassy in Washington, Mohammed worked as the Minister (Special Grade) Liaison/Head of Economic Matters.
Prior to that, he worked in the State House in Abuja as the Director of Consular Matters (Office of the State Chief of Protocol).

Mohammed will be remembered for his extensive service to the country, according to Buhari.
The President claimed that he distinguished himself as a successful conduit between the State House and foreign embassies.
