The National Security Council (NSC) has told the Obajana Cement Company in Kogi to start up again.

After a fight between the company’s management, led by Aliko Dangote, and the Kogi government, the company had to close.

Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Police Affairs, said that the reopening was ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The warring parties came to an agreement that led to the resolution, which aims to bring peace.

Dingyadi said that the government was committed to giving jobs to its people instead of shutting down factories that put people out of work.

“The government of Kogi and Dangote Cement in Kogi have come to an agreement about the need to reopen the factory.

“We do hope that all parties will honor this agreement and live up to the terms of the signed memorandum of understanding,” he said.

The deal was made with the help of Professor Ibrahim Gambari, who is the Chief of Staff to the President.
