Nnamdi Kanu’s attorney, Ejimakor, is fired by IPOB

Aloy Ejimakor, the attorney for Nnamdi Kanu, has been fired by the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB.

Ejimafor no longer represents Kanu, according to a statement sent by IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday.

The IPOB leadership and the DOS have now designated Barr. Ejimakor as a persona not grata, according to Emma Powerful. From this day forward, he must stop posing as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s advisor.

The group disputed Ejimafor’s assertion that Simon Ekpa and his adherents are followers of Nnamdi Kanu, the organisation’s leader.

Therefore, it is not only malicious but also playing right into the hands of his sponsors, something we in the IPOB family are quite aware of because we are aware of Barr Ejimakor and others’ pasts, for them to imply that Simon Ekpa has any link to Kanu and IPOB.

“Ejimakor was only obsessed with how he could use the position of Special Counsel for personal aggrandizement. He never intended well for Nnamdi Kanu.”

Barr Ejimakor is simply one of the attorneys hired by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to handle particular cases, according to Powerful. For the avoidance of doubt, he is not now and never has been the official spokesman for the Indigenous People of Biafra movement, according to The Nation.

“Except for the unique legal concerns that he was hired to handle, Ejimakor is not a member of IPOB and has no incentive to interfere with our operations.

According to the statement, “Barrister Ejimakor attempted to export his ignorance of IPOB’s inner workings and his bewildered state of mind to the general public because he has no idea of what IPOB is fighting for and does not know IPOB’s modus operandi.”
