Sen. Ademola Adeleke was sworn in as governor of Osun State by 3,700 members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command.

On November 27, 2022, Senator Adeleke would take the oath of office as the state’s governor at the Osogbo City Stadium.

The security organization and other sister agencies in the state went on a show of force on Friday to send a message to criminally inclined people in the state, according to a statement by the Osun NSCDC Commandant, Agboola Sunday, and signed by Adeleke Kehinde, the acting public relations officer of Osun NSCDC Command.

He stated: “A unified operation by all security agencies called “Operation Stop and Search” will be conducted within the state at some noted hot sites.

“Things are not going as usual. We have improved the security architecture because we are aware of our responsibility and believe Osun State deserves it.

Agboola reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to upholding her security mandate while pleading with parents and guardians to caution their kids and wards against being used for mischief.

Agboola, who urged the state’s residents to maintain calm, added that his men would be fully present on the ground both during and after the inauguration to keep the state’s law and order.
