Posted by Nigerians have been forwarded a warning from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration, or NAFDAC, not to purchase Whippy Real Mayonnaise.
The Director General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, announced this in a notification on Monday.
According to Adeyeye, the name of the business selling the unwholesome product is SNF FOODS Limited, located in Onitsha, Anambra State.
She claimed that following a thorough scientific examination of the product, the FDA determined it was unfit for human consumption.
“You should seek immediate medical counsel from a licensed healthcare provider if you or someone you know has consumed this product or experienced any negative response or occurrence after intake.
NAFDAC noted that the general public was invited to report any suspicions of the distribution and sale of unwholesome packaged food goods to the NAFDAC office that was the closest to them.
