The announcement said that other royal fathers and traditional leaders from all over the nation will follow the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Royal Father of the Day and Chief Host of the coronation celebration, to the historic occasion.

For 43 years, Oba Toriola, who would become the 20th Ogunsua, had been vying for the throne.

Oba Toriola thanked God Almighty for His blessings on him, his family, and the entire Modakeke community in response to the news.

The Ajombadi family’s Oba Moses Oladejo Oyediran, who passed away in March 2022, is succeeded by Oba Toriola.

At the time of his death, Oba Oyediran was 92 years old and had reigned for four years.
