After a performance at the Afronation festival in Portugal, Burna Boy told a group of industry professionals, including Nigerian-British show promoter Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, aka Smade, and podcaster Adesope aka Shopsydoo, that he is not concerned about not getting enough credit because Jesus didn’t get his credits until after his death.
In a popular video, the singer of “African Giant” expressed his gratitude for people praising him as the world’s greatest musician.

Smade was heard stating in the video, “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, bro, you don’t receive enough credits. You are absolutely the greatest in the world.
“No, I don’t [get enough credits], ” Burna Boy opined. Jesus didn’t receive his due until after his death, so who am I? [Laughs]”
