Benue: Governor Alia appoints four new officials

The appointment of Emmanuel Terlumun Agema as Acting Chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service, or BIRS, has been authorized by Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Governor of Benue State.

The governor had earlier revoked Mrs. Mimi Orubibi-Adzape’s appointment, and the new BIRS Chairman will succeed her.

In a same vein, the governor appointed three people on Friday to serve in his deputy’s position, Hon. Sam Ode.

In a statement, Tersoo Kula, Alia’s chief press secretary, announced the appointments of Lawrence Ogwuche as deputy private secretary, Barr Musa Sulaiman Ujor as press secretary, and Iorshagher Ikyereve as deputy chief of staff.

The statement states that the appointments will go into effect right away.

The appointees were required to demonstrate why the state governor had faith in them.
