The confirmation hearing for President Bola Tinubu’s candidates for cabinet positions began in the Senate on Monday.
This came when Senator Dave Umahi, the Senate Leader, made a motion.
A 28-person list of nominations for ministerial positions was sent to the senate for review last week by Tinubu.
Through Femi Gbajabiamila, Tinubu’s chief of staff, the senators received the list of ministers-designate.
The list has generated considerable controversy across the nation.
However, the Senate is currently engaged in the process of confirming or rejecting the nominees.
