Nyesom Wike, who is now serving as Minister Designate, has pledged his allegiance to President Bola Tinubu should he be elected to the Senate.
Wike stated that Tinubu would not have any regrets about appointing him to the position of minister if the nomination was successful.
This was revealed by him on Monday during his ministerial screening that took place on the floor of the Senate.
The former governor of Rivers State took pride in the fact that the state’s infrastructure improved during his tenure as a minister.
Wike claims that he built 12 flyovers in just four years, and that Julius Berger was the architect.
“During my second term as governor, I never left the state, and as I was leaving, the women pulled out their candy wrappers to congratulate me and tell me that I had done a good job.
“If I’m confirmed, Mr. President will not have any second thoughts about nominating me.”
