Declan Rice, a new midfielder for Arsenal, claims that manager Mikel Arteta persuaded him to join the team.
On Saturday, the Gunners made the formal announcement of the signing of Rice from West Ham.
The £105 million transfer fee for the England midfield surpasses the £72 million Arsenal paid Lille for Nicolas Pepe in 2019.
Additionally, it represents a record transfer fee for two British clubs.
Regarding Arteta’s influence, Rice remarked: “He’s a huge part of the reason why I’ve come here.
I’m confident he’ll draw the greatest performance from me. I am aware that there are still levels for me to advance to in my game, and I believe he will be my manager when I do so. I’m quite forward to collaborate with him.
