Nigeria’s Flamingos defeated New Zealand 4-0 on Friday afternoon in Goa, bouncing back from their opening-day loss to Germany at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

17 minutes after Esther Adesina’s cross, Aminat Bello gave the Flamingos the lead.

In the 34th minute, Miracle Usani increased Nigeria’s advantage.

Usani scored his second goal of the match with it.

The Nigerian girls had several opportunities to extend their lead after that but failed to do so.

Feinberg-Danieli, the goalie for New Zealand, also made a few noteworthy stops to keep the final score more manageable.

15 minutes from the end, Afolabi Taiwo Tewogboola added the third following a VAR review.

Etim Edidiong, a substitute, scored her team’s fourth goal of the contest with a beautiful strike late in stoppage time.

On Monday, the Flamingos’ final group game will be against Chile.
