Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, has cast doubt on his aspiration for 2023, according to rights activist Shehu Mahdi.
The outspoken Northerner implied that the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot be trusted.
Mahdi made a statement regarding a video of Tinubu speaking to a gathering of party women leaders and members in Abuja.
“Assurance, promise, wealth, health, and security are all present here…
The APC flagbearer declared that banditry was over.
Mahdi, a supporter of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), predicted that Tinubu’s supporters would be dissatisfied.
“If you believe BAT, you can believe anything, right?” With an air of ambiguity, mistrust, and doubt around him at all times.
Mahdi tweeted on Thursday, “Huge letdown from Tinubu awaits anyone believing him.”
The commentator from Katsina recently made headlines for urging Christians in the North not to support candidates from the South.
According to Mahdi, supporting Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee, would be equivalent to encouraging the Biafra separatist movement.
Several organizations, including the Conference of Northern Christians and Minorities (CNCM) and the Coalition of Northern Elders for Peace and National Unity (CNEFPNU), denounced the remarks.
