The Nigerian Army is being asked by President Bola Tinubu to combat banditry like it did Boko Haram.
As Tinubu urged the Nigerian Army to combat criminals attempting to destabilize Nigeria, this occurred.
He promised Nigerians that his administration was prepared to deal with the country’s widespread insecurity problems.
Vice President Kashim Shettima spoke on behalf of Tinubu at the Nigerian Army Day ceremony on Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
He committed to address any risks to the country’s security as soon as possible.
“I pledge my commitment to the welfare of the Nigerian Army and the whole Armed Forces, and I will solve the equipment shortage, inadequate financing, and other issues impeding their effective operation.
He stated, “I commend you for your cooperative efforts in combating Boko Haram and I implore you to emulate same in combating banditry and other criminals aiming to destabilize the country.
