Tinubu names a University of Ibadan student to the Tax Reforms Committee

Orire Agbaje, a 400-level student at the University of Ibadan, has been selected by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms.

In Abuja, the committee was officially launched on Tuesday.

According to a tweet from the presidency on Tuesday, Miss Orire Agbaje, a 400-level economics student at the University of Ibadan who also serves as the president of the @ui_taxclub, the @SEIHUnibadan, and an NHEF Scholar, is one of the members of the presidential committee on fiscal policy and tax reforms that President @officialABAT inaugurated today.

It is anticipated that the group led by Taiwo Oyedele would present a list of rapid reforms that can be put into place within the first thirty days.

The President stated that “critical reform measures should be recommended in six months and full implementation will occur within one calendar year.”
