On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore to keep his campaign promise to guarantee a continuous supply of electricity throughout the nation.

The president underlined his willingness to overcome any challenges standing in the way of a reliable energy supply in Nigeria in a statement released by his Special Advisor to the President for Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

Ajuri claims that Tinubu spoke at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja, 350MW Gwagwalada Independent Thermal Power Plant’s (Phase 1) groundbreaking ceremony.

According to the statement, the president promised that his administration would find answers to the numerous problems that the value chain of the electric power industry was facing.

Improved energy production and distribution, according to Tinubu, are essential for progress and a country’s expansion.

He insisted that “three years must be three years,” pleading with the NNPC and its collaborators to complete the historic project in the allotted three years.

This administration is prepared to address every power value chain challenge that will significantly relieve the suppressed demand, increase generation, and improve national peak growth & sustainability far above the hitherto abysmal and unacceptable 5,300MW for over 200 million people, according to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), which is currently characterized by enormous supply-gap deficits.
