On Thursday, the Nigerian Flamingos will go for Monrovia, Liberia, to play in the last qualifying round match for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Play begins on Sunday at Paynesville’s Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.

In order to reach this point, the Flamingos cruised via Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic.

On aggregate, Central African Republic lost by twelve goals, while the Burkinabe girls were thrashed by seven and a half.

When Liberia surprised Senegal in the last round and scheduled a meeting with Nigeria, it was shocking.

In the most recent Under-17 Women’s World Cup, which was held in India, the Flamingos finished in third place.
