Three suspects in Delta’s drug trade apprehended by police; one carried a firearm

Three individuals have been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command on charges of possessing illicit substances.

Along with Jacob Efedeye (32 years old), Lucky Emmanuel (40 years old), and Enunwuune Snu (46 years old) were apprehended in Asaba in a Toyota Hiace.

Three boxes containing one hundred codeine bottles and four hundred tramadol sachets were seized by the police.

According to the police, a 23-year-old man named Fidelis Akpos was apprehended on the Kwale-Ogwashi-Uku Expressway while riding a commercial Sienna bus. He was found with a handgun that had been made in the area, as well as two live cartridges disguised within a polythene bag that contained smoked fish.

The report was corroborated by the command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, in a statement signed by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, who is leading the command.
