Sheikh Abubakar Giro Argungu, a well-known Islamic cleric, has passed away.
This was confirmed by Kabir Muhammad Haruna, the national secretary of Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.
After a brief illness, the cleric passed away in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, according to his post.
“We come from God, and we all go back to Him.
The Shiekh Abubakar Giro Argungu has passed away.
The deceased will be buried in accordance with Islamic customs tomorrow, on Thursday. In due course, a time for the burial will be revealed, the National Secretary of JIBWIS tweeted.
