The River government asks banks to assist the health sector

The Cross River State Government has pleaded with financial institutions, particularly banks, to provide equipment support to healthcare facilities.

According to the government, this action will help them fulfill the requirement for universal health coverage.

Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, the state’s new commissioner for health, made the appeal while hosting a management team from Globus Bank in his office.

Ayuk stated that although the government is committed to providing an effective, accessible, high-quality, and affordable healthcare system, more may be accomplished through coordinated efforts.

He emphasized the necessity to focus on a cooperative healthcare system since only a healthy populace can engage in significant financial transactions.
