Posted by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, denied obtaining personal jets to help his campaign on Sunday.
According to reports, some prominent Nigerians donated personal jets to Obi’s presidential campaign.
Obi condemned such rumors as untrue, calling them viral.
“Recently, various social media stories have suggested that certain renowned Nigerians have donated their personal jets for my use throughout my campaign,” Obi stated in a string of tweets.
“I appreciate the statement of such optimism, but I have never received any such offer.”
The former governor of Anambra State also prayed for God to bless the “great Nigerians.”
He also hoped that such remarks would not distract them.
“I wish that such social media remarks do not disproportionately distract those notable Nigerians named.”
“May God Almighty continue to bless those illustrious Nigerians,” he added.
