The first round of 16 cabinet candidates to be evaluated was made public

The Senate started reviewing the ministerial candidates that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had submitted to them on Thursday of last week on Monday.

A resolution to hold confirmation hearings on days other than the regular sitting days was voted by the upper parliamentary Chamber on Thursday of last week in an effort to complete the process quickly before leaving for the yearly vacation.

President Tinubu first submitted 26 names for ministerial positions, stating that others from States not represented will do the same in a few days.

It is currently unknown whether nominations from states with pending appointments will be announced before senators go for their yearly vacation.

The following nominees are included on the Order Paper for screening and confirmation, which was seen by 460play on Monday:

Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo of Ondo, Senator Abubakar Sani Danladi of Taraba, Barr Uju-Ken Ohaneye of Anambra,
Betta Edu, Dr., of Cross River

Meanwhile, investigations show that two candidates, including a woman, have already been apprehended in Cross River State.
