Emma Powerful, the spokesperson for IPOB, stated that the letter written by Kanu to Ekpa directing him to cease the sit-at-home protest in the Southeast was genuine.

On Friday, Kanu had mailed a handwritten letter to Ekpa, giving him the command to bring a stop to the sit-at-home protest in the Southeast.

Kanu got Aloy Ejimakor, his Special Counsel, to deliver the letter on his behalf.

Powerful vouched for the authenticity of the letter by stating that Ekpa’s assertion that Kanu’s letter was a forgery was only an attempt to stir up trouble.

The following is an excerpt from a statement that was released by Powerful on Saturday: “The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) confirm the authenticity of the handwritten note of our leader that was penned to the Finland infiltrator and crime minister instructing him to end his notorious and reckless sit-at-homes.”

“It is pertinent to make the message disassociating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB from the senseless enforcement of sit-at-home public in order to avoid consequences on innocent citizens,” said Kanu. “It is pertinent to make the message disassociating IPOB from the senseless enforcement of sit-at-home.”

“Kanu, in his wisdom, transmitted the word to the infiltrators through the appropriate channel and a source that they should have faith in.

“The allegations that Kanu’s handwritten note is a forgery are part of their scheme to continue in their contract to blackmail IPOB and Kanu with the violent enforcement of the infamous sit-at-homes used to terrorize our people,” the source said. “This is part of their mischief to continue in their contract to blackmail IPOB and Kanu.”

“We are aware that a power-drunk crime Minister with his insignificant kangaroo de facto government in exile will disobey the order out of concern that it will deflate his over-inflated ego.

“The note from our leader disassociating himself and IPOB from the notorious sit-at-homes is currently being distributed to all Nigerian Security Agencies, all foreign Embassies in Abuja, and to the contractors of the infiltrators for their notice,” the statement read. We are the IPOB, and we are more enlightened than the snake.
