Senator John Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, declared that as the country gets closer to the beginning of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, Team Nigeria is ready for triumph and has no reason to lose.

He emphasized that the responsibility now rests with the contingent to reciprocate the president’s kindness and bring honor to the country, with the full support of the government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who authorized 100% of the Olympic budget.

Enoh had great hopes and faith in the athletes’ talents during his speech at the athletes’ formal handover ceremony to the Nigerian Olympic and Paralympic Committees in Abuja.

Enoh said, “We have no justification for failing.”

“Now that the President has given his approval for the entire budget, it is our responsibility to repay his kindness by shining a light on the country.” There are great hopes, and I believe our athletes can achieve them.

At the 2024 Olympic Games, 87 competitors from Nigeria will compete in 12 different sports.
