Shehu Sani: Ex-Service Chiefs were given SUVs after they fled with bandits

Shehu Sani, a former legislator, has responded to reports that the sacked Service Chiefs received enormous severance payouts.

The social critic alleged that despite receiving alluring rewards, the Service Chiefs had abandoned the country to terrorists and outlaws.

On Friday, Sani stated on his verified Twitter account, “The other service chiefs left us with terrorists and were rewarded with ambassadorial appointments; these ones left us with bandits and were rewarded with SUVs.”

His response was a result of claims that the Chief of Defence Staff and the other Service Chiefs received bulletproof sport utility vehicles, personal assistants, guards, and other perks of office, including significant retirement benefits for receiving medical care overseas.

Remember that a few weeks after taking office, President Bola Tinubu fired the Inspector General of Police, all Service Chiefs, Advisers, and the Comptroller General of Customs.

Additionally, Tinubu replaced them with fresh hires.
