Gov. Yusuf makes nominations for Kano institutions and agencies

Abba Kabir Yusuf, governor of Kano State, has announced appointments for several agency and institution heads.

On Monday, he posted the announcement on his verified social media account.

The selections, according to Yusuf, were made to ensure a more effective government.

Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna is the executive secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board. Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu is the director general of the Kano State Bureau of Statistics. Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai is the executive secretary of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB).

Other people that are listed are CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo, Rtd. Director General, Kano State Corporate Security Institute, Gabasawa, Farouq Abdu Sumaila, Executive Secretary, Kano State Guidance and Counselling Board, Alh. Umar Shehu Minjibir, Chairman, Kano State Civil Service Commission, and others.

“In our resolve to ensure a more effective government in Kano,” the statement read. The following heads of governmental organizations have my approval for their appointments:

1. Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna, Kano State Scholarship Board’s executive secretary.

2. The Kano State Bureau of Statistics’ Director General, Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu.

3. Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai, executive secretary of the KSSMB (Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board).

4. The Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Center’s coordinator, Hon. Alkasim Hussain Wudil.

5. Farouq Abdu Sumaila, Kano State Guidance and Counseling Board executive secretary.

6. Alh. Umar Shehu Minjibir, head of the civil service commission for Kano State.

7. Rtd. Director General of the Kano State Corporate Security Institute, CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo, Gabasawa.

8. Kura-based Kano Informatics Institute Director Dr. Abdullahi Garba Ali.

The director of the Kano State Institute of Hospitality Management is Hajia Shema’u Aliyu.

10. The State Sports Institute’s Karfi director, Dr. Musa Sa’ad Muhammad.

The director of the Kano State Institute of Development Journalism is Dr. Abubakar Shehu Minjibir.

12. Abdullahi S. Abdulkadir, the director of the Kano State Institute of Farm Mechanization in Kadawa.

Director of the Kano State Institute of Livestock, Gargai, Jazuli Muhammad Bichi.

14. Dr. Maigari Indabawa, director of the Tiga Kano State Film Institute.

15. Kabiru Yusuf, director of the Bagauda, Kano State Institute of Fisheries.
