He claimed that because the decision on Tuesday ordering a rerun meant that he had not won, celebrating would be illogical.
The senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Customs, responded by issuing a statement that was made accessible to 460play on Wednesday. In it, he vowed to contest the tribunal ruling that invalidated a large portion of the votes that asked for a rerun.

The legislator said that the tribunal’s decision to order a rerun in 94 polling places with more than 59,730 votes was problematic enough to be appealed.
“The judgment was based on the assumption that the total number of PVCs collected in the 94 voting locations is 59,730, while the margin of victory is 26,922 votes,” he stated.

He criticized the results and contended that a previous ruling prohibited adding voting places to those that were already duly authorized.
He asserts that the interpretation poses issues, which he would take up with the appeal court.
He urged his followers to maintain prudence while remaining steadfast in their pursuit of the next available legal remedy.
