This was stated Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, during an interview that 460PLAY watched on Arise Television.

According to him, Nigeria’s low per capita income makes it one of the poorest countries in Africa.

Truthfully, Nigeria is an extremely impoverished nation. His opinion was that our riches was exaggerated.

“I think we have a poor estimation of the wealth of the country, we are a very poor country,” the presidential aide stated, commenting on the current status of the Nigerian economy and the administration’s attempts to maintain stability.

He claims that the government “is hoping that the pressure on our finances will reduce” by eliminating gasoline subsidies and unified currency rates.

At the same time, Onanuga disproved the notion that federal employees are still owed emoluments by the Tinubu-led administration.

Something is wrong with the platform that is being utilized to pay out salary, according to the AGF’s office.
