The Osun State Polytechnic’s Iree chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, has put a halt to academic operations there.
This was said in an address delivered on Tuesday at Iree by Dr. Fatai Afolabi, the chairman of the Osun Poly ASUP.
The state government replaced Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo as the institution’s rector with Akanbi Adeyemi on Monday, as DAILY POST recalls.
A. K. Jimoh, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, signed the declaration.
Among other things, Odetayo was charged with financial irresponsibility, corruption, theft of funds, and abuse of office.
