He encouraged security organizations to step up and make sure the offenders are apprehended.

The request was made by Nwoye, who is also the convener of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign’s Enugu State Chapter, during a prayer service for the souls of Lucky Idoko and Ugwuoke Victor, two APC youth leaders who were brutally murdered by as-yet-unidentified gunmen at various locations in Enugu State’s Igboeze South Local Government Area last Saturday.

The APC Chieftain bemoaned that the recent occurrence had increased the number of APC youths who had been sent to their untimely deaths to four, and he was unable to contain his outburst of sorrow.

He also revealed how, in 2018, unidentified hoodlums broke into his Enugu home in the early hours of the fatal day in an attempt to kill him. However, he survived the attempted murder and offered glory to God for that.

He emphasized that political parties should be about brotherhood and relationships, not killing members, and asked the party faithful not to be discouraged by what he characterized as bad air flowing in the Enugu APC.

Nwoye, who also serves as a Federal Commissioner for Southeast in the FCCP, urged party members to show support for the bereaved families.

Although he emphasized that “letting human blood in the name of politics remains a wicked deed; criminals will undoubtedly face retribution before God,” he also pleaded with state politicians to shun politics of animosity.

The APC stalwart utilized the prayer time to officially launch a number of organizations that support the party’s presidential candidate, including the Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society, the APC Youths Taskforce for Tinubu, and the Jagaban Coalition.

“I want to utilize this platform to call on the electorates in Enugu and Southeast to support Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, in the 2023 election because of his credentials and his ability to transform the nation positively if given the mandate,” he said.
