Nwabali made a dramatic entrance at this year’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January.

The goalie, who is 27 years old, played in seven games throughout the tournament and had four clean sheets.

Along with that, he saved two penalties in the quarterfinal shootout over South Africa.

Nwabali has made 26 appearances for Chippa United this season, and he has preserved 11 clean sheets.

Many foreign teams have taken an interest in Nwabali as a result of his stellar play.

Speculation has circulated that South African side Kaizer Chiefs, English Championship team Queens Park Rangers, and Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq are involved.

After losing 2-0 to Orlando Pirate in the season finale, Nwabali hinted at his future plans.

When you’re in a position of power, you need to push yourself to improve, so naturally, everyone wants out, as Nwabali put it.

I just want to keep becoming better, like everyone else in my position. I’ve been putting my heart and soul into my club this season, and I’m talking about teams that are far bigger than Chippa United.

“All I want is to have another challenge somewhere else,” Nwabali stated.
