In light of Kanu’s kidnapping and exceptional return to Nigeria in flagrant violation of the OAU treaty and protocol on extradition, the court released him on Thursday, concluding that the Federal High Court lacks the authority to trial him.
Ozekhome said on Channels Television’s News At 10 on Thursday night that Kanu must be released for there to be peace in the nation.
Nnamdi Kanu was released today, according to the decision, Mr. Ozekhome said. He is now a free man, thus that means.
