According to the Dutch newspaper AD, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has already “spoken directly” with the player.

Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, who chose to join Chelsea, have been passed over by Klopp, who is still looking for a defensive midfielder.

Amrabat is prepared to reject United in order to sign for Liverpool, therefore Liverpool may now be poised to prevail in their own transfer struggle.

According to reports, Klopp was able to convince the Moroccan international, and the 26-year-old is now keen on joining Anfield.

Since shining at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Morocco defied the odds to go to the semifinals, Amrabat has been linked with a move to United.
