Ladi Akeredolu-Ale is appointed managing director of ESBS by Mbah

Mr. Ladi Akeredolu-Ale has been named managing director of the Enugu State Broadcasting Service, or ESBS, by Enugu State Governor Barr Peter Mbah.

Ladi was the Controller, Current Affairs of Channels Television in Lagos State before to his most recent assignment.

On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, a statement bearing the seal of the State Government’s Secretary, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, announced his appointment.

According to him, the seasoned journalist would contribute to the state broadcasting agency over 30 years of journalism expertise.

The state-owned media service is anticipated to become one of the best revenue-generating organizations in the state under Mr. Akeredolu-Ale’s leadership, inspire radical reforms in media innovation and creativity, and lead a media revolution.

Mr. Ladi Akeredolu-Ale has been named the MD of the ESBS, according to the release. He was the Controller, Current Affairs at the Lagos, Nigeria, headquarters of Channels television prior to his appointment.

He has won numerous awards, including the Nigeria Media Merit Award in 2001 for Television Presenter and Reporter of the Year, the Diamond Award for Media Excellence in 2004 for Reporter of the Year, and the Nigeria Media Merit Award in 2019 for Program Presenter of the Year.

He has approximately 30 years of experience in television broadcasting, and from March 2009 to February 2017 he served as director general and chief executive of the Ondo State Radio and Television Corporation.

He graduated from the Universities of Ilorin and Lagos with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sociology, respectively, in 1992 and 1998. He also graduated from the Lagos Business School Chief Executive’s Program in 2011.
