Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, has said that the country’s rising inflation is due to global problems and that some people are using it for local politics.
Keyamo said that Nigeria is not separate from the problems happening in the rest of the world. He warned those who still wanted to move abroad that the country is not separate from the problems happening in the rest of the world.
Nigerians have been using the word “JAPA,” which means moving abroad to find better jobs, a lot.
He said this on his verified Twitter account and hinted that the huge protests in the streets of Paris, France, about prices going up could be linked to the global crisis.
He wrote, “There were huge protests in the streets of Paris because prices were going up.” Some people are still planning to “japa” abroad, as if Nigeria isn’t involved in world events. Some Nigerians who know about the problems are also lying to them and using global problems to play local politics.
